IGOR [00:00:14]
When I was there, I was also going through this period where I kept comparing it to Bolivia. Because I just came from Bolivia, I guess I hadn’t got used to the idea yet, that I changed the country.
MICHAEL [00:00:57]
Yeah.
IGOR [00:01:17]
That’s how they build this thing out of mud.
IGOR [00:01:26]
That’s the type of house they have. It’s like a traditional house, a frame made of some kind of branches, wooden branches. And on top they cover it with this mixture of some kind of clay, then they fire it.
MICHAEL [00:02:04] I felt that from the photos too, that it’s all very calm. It’s kind of pulling you into the sleepiness.
IGOR [00:02:30] So, yeah, they grow corn here. In South America they’ve only got one kind of corn. Here there are 100 varieties. Big kernels, they just boil it.
MICHAEL [00:02:53] And the cacti, what about them?
IGOR [00:02:56] It grows here, up in the mountains. The only thing is, of course, in some places there are still a lot of tourists. Like in Cusco, the classic tourists, the kind who came to see Machu Picchu and all that. Yeah. There’s this little town there, Pisac, a village. And that’s where you get this whole gang of people, like, all sorts of spiritual specialists, doing yoga non-stop, yoga mixed with local traditions.
