It is as though truth and reality are not about finding something out or figuring something out. Even being true to oneself is not just a decision we can take. I decided to be true to myself and to tell all my colleagues to go to hell. That does not sound as a revelation.
It is as though it is a way. A long and painful way to liberation. From all these truths and desires to get things and be right about things. But what matters on this way is our motif, the intention that guides us.
In the commentary to the Upanishads <name> makes an amazing example. What is the cause of light in the room ? Electricity ? It is the how. The cause is my intention to switch it on. But even getting to the bottom of our own intentions is tricky. Sometimes we don’t fully understand what is guiding us.

Isn’t it amazing that anything can become true and real? Even if it starts as a fake. How is that so ? Maybe it is because, ss Rupert Spira beautifully puts it: that everything is made of truth. And we can perceive it directly, experience it.
